Second grade is an exciting time for our young Catholics.  They are about to receive Jesus into their hands, but, before they can receive the Lord in the Eucharist, they must experience His grace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  This Sacrament wipes away all their sins, purifying and preparing them to receive the Eucharist.

Not only do they receive their first Reconciliation (Confession), but they also receive the Eucharist for the first time.  That's right!  For the first time in their lives, God places Himself into their hands.
