The Archdiocese’s The Grief Ministry is a partnership with the Baltimore Police Department’s homicide survivor advocates, whose unit also works to meet the needs of non-fatal shooting victims. I checked in with their supervisor this morning from the city’s response center, and as expected, the needs of these victims and their families remain great. Requested are food donations (fresh and non-perishable items) and gift cards for the police advocate to purchase items needed specific to the family, including food, toiletries, household and comfort items and other emergency necessities. July signup is now open: Volunteer here to purchase groceries for families of homicide victims. Please reach out to Yvonne Wenger with questions, at [email protected] or 410-547-3158.
